This program offers specialized training to you, those who have bravely navigated migration challenges, seeking asylum, or overcoming human trafficking. You are not alone. Many people in similar situations have experienced trauma, and we’re here to help you understand its impact and build resilience.

Understanding Your Journey

Our training acknowledges the unique difficulties you may have faced, including:

Violence and persecution
Dangerous journeys
Separation from loved ones
Exploitation and abuse

We recognize these experiences can be overwhelming, and you may be struggling with emotional and mental health challenges.

Empowering Your Healing

This training will introduce you to trauma-informed care (TIC) founded on the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study, a landmark investigation conducted in the mid-1990s by the Centers for Disease Control and Kaiser Permanente. In the training, we will explore:

How past experiences can affect you today.
Skills to manage stress and emotions.
Strategies to build a safe and supportive network.
